Sweet Baby Chopz

My name is Jacqui but my nickname has been Chops since I was a baby. I grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. I started creating music in 2024 when I got inspiration watching Juice WRLD on Westwood YouTube videos. I originally started with strictly freestyle rapping and singing, and my favorite quote by Juice WRLD that I have tattooed on me is “I freestyle everything.” 

After getting comfortable with my voice and sound, I started writing a little and put out my first EP in the beginning of 2025. I was struggling heavily with addiction at the time, and in the summer of 2025 I started my recovery journey. I went to a rehab facility for 4 months where I started writing my newest album ‘Pink Clouds Will Kill Us.’ My life completely changed with sobriety since I had been faced with addiction for nearly half my life. I still am faced with daily uphill battles but I've learned a lot about myself and the challenges I am able to overcome without substances. 

I hope my music can help anyone who faces any kind of addiction and know that they’re not alone. I hope I can give some hope to the world. I am continuing to make music and I will have more on the way. My next goal is to collaborate with more artists and make something different. Keep on the lookout for some upcoming singles and EPs.
